Up

In 2004 we trailered 4 wheelers and rode up into the mountains. We rode out of Pitkin Colorado, a little town about 15 miles north of highway 50, about 10 miles east of Gunnison. We parked at the entrance of a state park, just outside of Pitkin and traveled county roads to get to the forestry roads.  As you can see from the pictures, the roads got worse the higher up we got. We got up to about 12,000 feet. We got caught in a thunderstorm and the temperature dropped drastically about halfway down the mountain, needless to say we got soaked getting back to the trailer.
